The Wellington Ledger aims to make coralix.org usable on any device, in any browser and with any assistive technology. This statement sets out what has been done, which shortcomings remain and how to report a problem.
Our approach
We treat accessibility as part of building and maintaining this website, not as a separate task. Whenever a page is added or the design changes, we check that the content can still be read with a screen reader, used with a keyboard and enlarged in the browser. This statement covers the pages published under coralix.org.
Conformance
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We describe the site as partially conformant, because some pages or elements still fall short of individual success criteria. Pages are reviewed regularly and problems are corrected as they are found; until then the same information is offered in another form.
Other ways to reach us
This website is not the only way of obtaining information from The Wellington Ledger. You can telephone us on (519) 836-4072 during normal business hours, write to [email protected] or send a letter to 41 Quebec Street, Unit 2, Guelph, ON N1H 2T6. Where a page is not accessible to you, we will read the information out by telephone or supply it in plain text form.
What we do
The site is built from semantic HTML with a logical heading structure, one main heading per page and descriptive link texts. The main content and the navigation are marked as separate regions, and every page declares its language for screen readers. Informative images have text alternatives, decorative ones are marked as such.
Colours are selected so that body text, links and buttons maintain a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against their background. Font sizes are expressed in relative units, so that text can be enlarged in the browser without content being cut off. Links, menus and form fields can be operated using the keyboard alone.
Feedback
If you encounter a barrier on this website, or cannot obtain information that you require, please inform us by email at [email protected] or by telephone on (519) 836-4072. It helps if you identify the page, describe what happened and mention the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within five working days.
Known limitations
Several illustrations are generic, and their alternative text names the subject without describing it in detail.
Preparation of this statement
The present statement was prepared on October 24, 2026 on the basis of our own internal assessment. We inspected the principal page types with a keyboard, at an increased zoom setting and with a screen reader; no external audit was commissioned. The statement is reviewed once a year and after any substantial change to the website.
